At Immanuel, the focus of Christian education for children in Preschool through Grade 5 Sunday School classes is to learn about God, through the stories of the Bible. The 6th through 8th graders will begin learning about and discussing their faith, as well as begin making a connection with the adult congregation. Students in 9th grade and above will embark on their journey to become adult members of Immanuel by discussing their beliefs, and using their gifts to assist in leading worship. Our goal is to have children feel comfortable in Sunday School, so they can enjoy learning about God's love.

All families are asked to fill out a Registration Form once each year.  Click here for the 2017-2018 Sunday School Registration Form.  This information helps us to order the correct amount of curriculum and supplies for each class, as well as keeps all our information up to date. You may fill out a registration form anytime throughout the year.

Sunday School classes meet every Sunday from September to May from 9:45 - 10:45 (between worship services). Immanuel's worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 during the school year.  During the summer there are no Sunday School classes.

Our Preschool through Grade 5 classes use the ‘Witness’ curriculum. This curriculum teaches the Bible stories beginning with creationand connects the stories with their lives today. Each leaflet features an illustrated scene and retelling of the Bible story for learners and teachers to share, and there are activities and projects that engage learners in an element of the Bible story and encourage them to apply story knowledge to their own lives. Students will learn stories from the Old and New Testament following a two-year cycle.
Our Middle School class (Grades 6-8) uses the 'Colaborate' curriculum.  This year they will be studying Unit 1: Old Testament, and Unit 3: New Testament.  This is a confirmation series that promotes a meaningful experience by presenting faith as a path of growth and discovery, and it allows students to discover how faith is relevant to their lives.
Our High School class (Grades 9-12) uses the 'To Live, To Know, To Grow' curriculum.  The topics covered this year will be: What is a Lutheran?, My Faith, Meaning of Service -  Living in Love, Jesus of Nazareth.  This series encourages discussion relating faith and Bible stories to the teen's life.
