3/21 - Lent

. Posted in 2013 Lenten Readings

Going through the day without thinking about God is actually easy for me. Now I understand I have classes I need to pay attention to and places to go and people to see but there should be time I think, well if there was no God there would be no me or anything surrounding me. Even during the morning when I’m walking to school I really should get in the habit of looking around at nature and thanking God. Not until recently did I realize that God is a major part of my life. I only get to church every other weekend because I go to my Dad’s house every other weekend. Church for me is sometimes just plain boring but other times it’s when I really have time to think about my life. Sure other kids in my grade think even saying the word religion makes you lame instantly or the odd one out, but I am the kind of person who speaks out for what I believe in. But I’m not the kind of person who shouts out “God is our Savior!” I’m in the middle. Life is hard to learn about and it will always be that way whether you’re 3 or 99 even though I’m 12 it feels like life is hard enough right now but I think to myself, What will it be like when I’m an adult?  I have my moments when I feel like an adult other times it still feels like I’m 3. This year I’m turning 13 and it feels unbelievable. I always have the question in my mind, what’s going to happen next. Then I realize God knows and he will take care of me. I trust God with my whole life and nothing will ever change that.

Family    I am thankful to have a loving, caring family. We can do a lot of amazing things with each other . It is great to have a family that cares for me and each other.

“So then, when ever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.” [Galatians 6:10]
